McNally is a commercial project superintendent with an interest in energy-efficient building design, so the powerline issue hits home for him.
Rappahannock’s own Smiggy and Friends will also perform at the festival. The fourpiece band plays everything from blues to rock and reggae. They perform original and cover songs.

The Power Line Awareness Festival will also include several alternative-energy presenters, food provided by Rae’s Place and Harm any Highlands, wine from Rappahannock Cellars and tours of Jordan River Farm owner Cory Koral’s solar-powered house.
The entire event will be powered by Richmond-based DTI Solar.
