at the collegiate level is not a top priority. The nursing profession is.
During the summer, she cross-referenced nursing and collegiate volleyball programs. There are just 139 schools nationwide that meet her criteria. Five are in Virginia, including Marymount, Shenandoah, JMU, the University of Virginia and Lynchburg College, which already has granted Kritter admission to its Class of 2012.

At the same time, Kritter will not abandon her other love, the theater. Lynchburg College is just two hours from Staunton’s American Shakespeare Center where Kritter has attended summer camp the past two years. This past summer, she appeared in Midsummer Night’s Dream. In November and December, she will be featured in Shakespeare on Ice.
“Only” she said with a smile, “It’s not on ice.”
Kritter’s love for the plays and sonnets of William Shakespeare led to a meeting with some other young people who are opening the Empty Chair Theater Company in Washington, D.C. She will perform there next summer.
