special ’chase
Junior riders have an opportunity to rape at Great Meadow this weekend in the junior field masters’ chase which is scheduled for 11 a.m. this Saturday, before the regular card at the International Gold Cup.
Participants in the ‘chase follow an adult “field master” over a course of fences during the race, then are released to dash to the finish at a point about 200 yards from the wire.
