Oct. 25: Volunteer drivers needed
There will be a training session held at the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board/Area Agency on Aging office located on Bradford Road in Culpeper from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Drivers are needed for a new accessible van program to help seniors and others travel to various appointments. Annual Fairy Tale Walk
Hearthstone School’s annual Fairy Tale Walk (A non-scary event) will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. Rain Date - Saturday, Oct. 27. Suggested donation: $5. Come in costume. Healthy treats will be given out at each fairy tale scene. Cookies and cider will be served afterwards. See your favorite fairy tales come to life! JUST AROUND THE CORNER! Mark your calendar for The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection’s Annual Meeting and party. Come out and help RLEP celebrate another year of accomplishments. There will be good food by ECOW, good wine and beer plus home-made desserts, exhibits, annual awards, brief comments on the year’s activities and next year's plans, and many of your friends in attendance. New Directors will be elected to the RLEP Board. There will be plenty of social time, opportunities to mix and discuss community issues with neighbors and Board members, and a short benefit auction. To date, AUCTION ITEMS INCLUDE: a superb operating 1950s AM/FM radio of space-age design, a writing desk, a painting by Jack Frazier of Amissville, a 1night stay at The House on Water Street for 3 couples with full breakfast, a print by Steve Wagner of his “animated Flint Hill veggie parade,” a basket with local producer’s wares, 2 bowls and a vase of Lenox China, and more.
