Oct 18: Family Caregiver Workshops
A series of classes providing hands-on training, information and support to family caregivers will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 8 and 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hail. Take one or all four of these workshops which will give you helpful tips on caring for ill and disabled family members. Topics will include handson care, safety, preventing and dealing with problems, managing medications, working with doctors and hospitals, finding resources, financial and legal issues, coping with confusion and dementia and caring for the caregiver. Despite the drought, come explore this vital topic at Rapp FLOW’S upcoming monthly meeting on Oct 18, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the RappFLOW office (adjacent to the Sperryville School House). Join us for the EFA video “After the Storm,” an excellent video focusing on watersheds and storm water, water pollution, the National Park Service, and what citizens can do to support their own watersheds.
