Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne have returned to their home after a week spent in Kentucky and Tennessee. They attended the horse sale Sunday and Monday in Timonium, Md., accompanied by Marc Streagle.

Patricia Settle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Settle, was one of five young ladies selected as Homecoming Princesses in connection with the Friday night football game halftime activities in Culpeper during the Albemarle-Culpeper contest.

Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Green entertained with brunch Sunday morning having as guests Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tear, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Smet and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weaver.

Guests Saturday of Mrs. Sarah Latham for the house tour and dinner in the evening were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart, and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Peck, all of Herndon and Mrs. John Peck of Spotsylvania.

Mrs. David Streagle spent Friday and Saturday in Charlottesville attending a conference of county officials. Shannon Streagle was an over night guest Friday of Candy Todd at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. G. E.
