Youngsters in the United Methodist Youth Fellowship groups from Methodist churches in Flint Hill and Washington will be trick-ortreating for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, on Sunday afternoon, October 29.
For 32 years, the United Nations Children’s Fund has been striving to improve the conditions of children in the world’s most deprived areas. Not just an emergency relief organization, UNICEF furnishes equipment for schools and health clinics, seeds and tools for vegetable gardens, chicks and fish fingerlings to start chicken farms and local fish hatcheries. Above all, UNICEF offers training, expert advice and realistic hope to the citizens of more than 100 Asian. African and Latin American countries who, like parents everywhere, are willing to work and sacrifice to provide a better life for their children.
