The Citizens Program for the Chesapeake Bay. Inc tCPCB) which actively involved citizens and organizations in the planning phases of the Bay Program last year, has applied to EPA for additional funds to continue its public education and citizen involvement activities. As part of its educational activities. the CPCB plans to award contracts to local community organizations to conduct educational bay related miniprojects The purpose of these projects is to develop mechanisms to raise the level of awareness and to increase and enhance public participation through the direct involvement of all citizens throughout the Bay area
