“It’s the ’no way’ recommendation that extends the program's usefulness to all homeowners. Of course we want all homes in Virginia to be weather proofed, but we will only recommend storm windows or additional insulation when the expected savings outweigh the costs. It’s an honest approach to energy conservation, and one we expect to be used by a large number of Virginians," Jones said.
Again this year, in cooperation with the Community College System, the Energy Division is conducting Home Energy CostCutting Clinics to groups of 50 or more persons. Free packets, computer analyses, and a consultation period with technical instructors will be available to all clinkparticipants.
