A juvenile has been arrests ed in connection with last week’s burning of buildings, equipment and supplies, belonging to the Rappahannock Athletic Association, at Stuart Field in Amissville.

The youth was charged with arson, breaking and entering and grand larceny, according to Rappahannock County Sheriff Gary Settle, and is being held in detention awaiting trial.

Settle said he anticipates another arrest shortly of a second juvenile involved in the same incident.

He further added that an adult may also be charged as an accessory after the fact in the crime.

The deputies have recovered some of the items reported stolen from the RAA. One of the juveniles involved cooperated with ‘ the sheriff’s office and told them where some of the stolen items, dumped near the county line, could be found.
