A local issue:
The state has issued the 1997/98 Indoor Plumbing Program invitations to participate to all county administrators. The program is totally funded by the state and required no local tax dollars.
In order to have citizens receive assistance; each county must respond to. the program notice from the state and choose an administrator for the program. Rappahannock County has had no official program administrator in the past, although Rapidan Better Housing has provided very limited emergency funding.
Rappahannock citizens deserve access to this type of assistance. Interested parties should contact their supervisor and county administrator to recommend participation.
