Rappahannock RoughRide Set

On Sept. 20, the first annual RoughRide Charity Bicycle tour will be held with 10, 25 and 32-mile courses over paved and unpaved roads. Registration forms are available at local businesses. Music festival scheduled

The second annual Rappahannock Music Festival will be held on the stage in the lot next to Mountainside Market in Sperryville on Oct. 3, 4 and 5. The concert and parking is free. Friday night’s performance will begin at 7 p.m. and will include four different groups with the last band promising to deliver good dance tunes! Republican rally planned

An old-fashioned Republican Rally and BBQ dinner will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. at Washington Volunteer Fire Department. For people who don’t want dinner, the rally program will begin around 3:45 p.m. All events other than the dinner are free. For information call Walter Longyear at 675-3679.

Grigsby reunion planned

The reunion for the late Henry, John, Paul and Silo Grigsby will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Rappahannock Park located on U.S. 211 near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited. “Please come and bring a covered dish,” said a spokesperson.
