The Honorable Jay Katzen once again joined us for this annual event and spoke about the late Mary Beth Williams’ involvement with Camp Fantastic as a counselor. Tommy and Bonnie Williams also joined us for the evening. Butch Foster, President of the Lions’ Club, talked about the late Paul Nichols’ participation in Camp Fantastic. Charlotte Nichols made the comment that it was one of Paul’s favorite events. I know we looked forward to having him come up every year to help shuck the corn and to keep us all straight! Banners in memory of Mary Beth and Paul were hung under the pavilion during the evening.
Many restaurants, businesses, individuals, and civic clubs once again made donations to ensure that our “Rappahannock Night” at Camp Fantastic was successful. These included:
