Standing at the base, the rock face appears to be a challenge that would test our strength and skill. "Never look down,” we are told. "Just take it one step at a time.” Vet, the higher we climb, the closer we are to possible injurs should one foot slip; so we search for firm fooling, trusting our instructor, and never look down until we reach our goal.
Psalm 40:2-4 tells us of God... "He set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure...Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.”
Life places before us obstacles that appear insurmountable, yet with God's help we can possess strength we did not have, making the seemingly impossible possible. With faith firmlv planted on the Almighty we can reach our goals.
Visit your house of worship this week. As you enter, look aroundyou and behold the beauty within. Look up and feel God's presence. As you reach for Him. know that your highest aspiration is as near as a prayer. Remember, never look down.
