The rather abstract nature of much of Kinnier’s work is complemented in other cases by exact engraved and drawn designs. She is a completely trained and practiced artists whose first talent seems to be as a colorist, but who can produce whatever she has in mind. For some reason, animals and people are not figured in this show, so we don’t know how she approaches them.
Kinnier told me that she had studied with some of the finest artists at the Art Student’s League in New York.
Take this opportunity to brighten a day by looking' at these pictures before Sept. 28. I did not find them all equally successful, but the strength and connection with nature of others makes this encounter with her response to the outof-doors a new experience.
