The Amissville community has lost a very unique and special person with the recent passing of Nancy Rothrock. May her son be comforted in the knowledge that she was loved and respected by those who knew her.

Arsonists recently destroyed the buildings on Stuart Field used by the Rappahannock Athletic Association. Over half of their ball equipment was lost as well as the freezer, refrigerator, stove, and supplies. The remains of the buildings will be bulldozed and replaced with new structures. An bank account for a building fund will be established to help offset the cost. Until such time, donations may be mailed to the Rappahannock Athletic Association, P.O. Box 104, Amissville, Va. 20106. Should the arsonist be caught, I sincerely hope restitution is a part of the adjudication imposed.
