The gas pumps are in the ground at the school board office. When the plumbing and wiring is completed the pumps will be operational. The Sheriff’s Office will also use the pumps, Gangel said.
The school has been unable to put in new chlorinators, because the Health Department has not approved the plan the school submitted. New tanks may be necessary since the old ones cannot operate in a way that the chlorine can be effective.
The school is trying to devise a plan for compensation time for about ten employees so it may be taken with as little disruption to the school as possible, said Gangel.
A motion to pay the bills passed unanimously. Hale and White received $59,874 for a second payment of the high school roof replacement. Robert Clatterbuck received $40,248 for replacement of gasoline tanks. Wise & Associates received $5,481.60 for modifying the roof plans.
Jenny Stanley, faculty member, received permission to raise funds for the trip to Williamsburg. Bus schedules for Amissville were discussed in executive session.
