Breeding Philosophy of the OUmburgrr of America (O.A.) All hones must undergo a physical inspection by the official judging panel of the O.A. Only those horses which show sufficient Warmblood or Thoroughbred pedigree are eligible for inclusion into the highest “stud" book. The breeding philosophy of the Oldenburg Verband of Germany has been to carefully select those horses with the best “phenotype" for the purpose intended: athletic, correct hones with willing attitudes for work, with physical characteristics of strength, impulsion, forward and elastic movements, particularly suited for the Olympic disciplines of dressage, » eventing and show jumping, as well as driving.
