Boosters selling tickets
The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Boosters are beginning their main major fund raiser of the year. For a donation of $20, you could stand to win the grand prize of $1,000, second place prize of $750 or a third place prize of $250. Prizes will be given away Dec. 16,1997 at the Boy’s Varsity basketball game. You do not need to be present to win! Proceeds benefit the athletes and the athletic department. Help the athletes out by supporting this fundraiser! “Only 200 tickets are available and they are going fast! Don’t be left out!,” said an organizer.
Sling Blade to be shown
The Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community (RAAC) will present the movie, “Sling Blade” at the Theatre in Washington, Friday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.
Farm Bureau meeting set
The Rappahannock County Farm Bureau will hold its annual meeting on Friday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington. All members are invited.
Benefit yard sale set
The Amissville Ruritan Club will be holding a gigantic yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at 10:30 a.m. to raise money for the Community Building Fund at Stuart Field. Bargains galore!
Yoga classes to begin
Yoga classes with Lilo Foster will begin on Sept. 22 and continue with a six week program until Oct. 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center. Each session is $10 or $50 for the entire program. For information call 675-3584.
Enrichment series to continue

House tour planned
The annual Rappahannock House Tour sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church will be held Oct. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5p.m. on Sunday. Imaginative painting class set
Laurie Marshall is offering a month long series of painting classes on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. at the Public House in Flint Hill starting Sept. 23. Participants will generate unique and meaningful images while learning techniques in painting. Call 675-3267 to register.

The Rappahannock Band Booster meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock High School library. Everyone is welcome.
