Two longtime audience favorites at the Theatre at Washington, Va., give a recital there, entitled “The Romantic Quest in Song,” on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m.
Soprano Amanda Balestrieri and fortepianist Kenneth Slowik perform music of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, grouped to illustrate the stages of romance: Love’s awakening, love’s flowering, romantic longing, love’s perils, lost love, and peace.
Tickets for Sept. 27 are $14 with reservation, $15 at the door. Students 18 and under pay half price. The Theatre is located on Gay Street.
