Winner of 107 jump races from 1950-1962, Scott Schulhofer is one of the nation’s best known flat trainers, having conditioned multiple grade one and classic winners Fly So Free, Rubiano, Smile, Mac Diarmida, Turk Passer and Colonial Affair. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1992 following an introduction to racing, via steeplechasing, when he “went to work for [trainer] Oleg Dubassoff schooling horses in 1943.”
