At a special meeting Monday morning, Rappahannock’s Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to the county’s Comprehensive Plan directing the county to establish a sanitary landfill, with the 99-acre Stover tract east of Amissville “A potential site.”

After receiving answers to questions about the proposed capital improvement budget, Washington’s Town Council approved the measure at its meeting last Wednesday.

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in Madison, Rappahannock and Culpeper counties is asking their communities to join with them in observing Constitution Week from Sept. 17 through Sept. 23.

Wendy Ann Compton of Amissville and Sillus Wayne Chapman of Maryland were united in marriage at noon Saturday, April 25, at NPEA Tabernacle.
