They laid the
foundation
Several years ago, as we of
Trinity Church were involved in long term planning, we asked some questions of the Washington Town Council reference the town’s future. That was a part of inaugurating the Town Future’s Committee, who have since been working hard to raise up the planning issues that face our community.
Their work has now culminated in the establishment of a process to produce the town’s next comprehensive plan. Planning includes looking at all the relevant issues and options, whether they are pleasant or not, and it takes a lot of time and energy.
I want to thank the Future’s Committee and especially its chairman, Ray Gooch. I invite you to do the same to each, personally. They have laid a solid founda- , tion upon which the next phase can be built, and we owe them this appreciation.
