• February 1981 — Dr. Bloomer reports $1.3 million cost for five new classrooms and expanded base facilities.
• March 1981 — In compromise, School Board asks architect to design addition for two science labs, two guidance offices, one business classroom, storage facilities and bathrooms for handicapped.
• May 1981 — School Board scraps plans for expanded course offerings after learning that new courses cannot be implemented without additional space.
• February 1982 — New superintendent Robert Estabrook’s “plan for planning” the high school expansion is approved by the School Board.
