Artists from throughout Virginia have reserved space at the second annual Artists of the Blue Ridge fine arts exhibition to be held Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19 at Faith Mountain Company in Sperryville.
The juried show will exhibit traditional and innovative Virginia crafted art as well as watercolors, oils, photography and etching. More than thirty artists will bring works in cloth, paper, paint, ceramics, stoneware and wood.
Virginia photographers will be represented with both black 'and white and color portraits of Virginia’s landscapes and people.
The two-day show is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC).
Besides the exhibit, there will be live entertainment by traditional musicians, an Octoberfest food garden and a children’s creative comer.
Also on view will be the spectacular maple tree that dominates Sperryville scenery in autumn and is visited by photographers from national magazines each October. Park rangers predict that the weekend of the arts fair will be the most spectacv ular in terms of mountain fall foliage.
