"The whole picture is bright,” comments William Gallo, Jr., racing secretary and handicapper for the NSHA. “The general mood among the steeplechase community is very positive which we feel is an immediate result of the Breeders’ Cup Steeplechase. It’s made an impact an us all and the possibility of attracting new owners and horses to )ur sport is immense.”
