Bom in Warrenton, Va., Mrs. Harlow, the former Lee Lawrence, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence of Amissville, Va. She grew up in Amissville and considers it her hometown and Amissville Baptist Church her home church.
She received an associate of science degree from Bluefield College and a bachelor of science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College in Virginia, Richmond. She achieved registered nurse standing by examination in Virginia.
She has been a hospital nurse in Hampton and Richmond. She is a nurse at Amber House Nursing Home, Lexington Park.
The Harlows have two children: Matthew Louis, bom in 1976; and Sara Elizabeth, 1978. The family will go to Rockville, Va., in January for an eight-week orientation before leaving for the field.
