The panel discussion is the third presentation this year by the Artists’ Forum, the arm of RAAC devoted expressly to assisting local artists in both practical and artistic areas. Other forum activities this year were the Creative Audience class with Shirley Paukulis and the Art-In, directed by Jeanne Drevas, which created the mannequins which now live at the Gay St. Theater.
The discussion is from 5 to 10 p.m. at Blackwater Homestead. Participants may come and leave at any time. Saturday’s event, like all Artists’ Forum activities traditionally includes a potluck meal. Most Forum presentations are free of charge: the discussion will be $3.
Both RAAC members and nonmembers are invited.
There will be opportunities for questions and comments from those attending the forum.
The panel members are: Cindy Schaal, Virginia Coordinator for the Commission for the Arts, Former art gallery owner, and coordinator of the Richmond Arts Council; Cindy Kelly of the Maryland Arts Council; Frank D’Serio of Corporate Arts Services and Wretha Hanson of Franz Bader Gallery.
To reach Blackwater Homestead, travel east on Rt. 522, turn left on Rt. 650, bear right about a mile later on Rt. 615. Blackwater Homestead is about a mile on the left.
