The girls’ race began with Rappahannock’s team in much the same situation as their male teammates, with the striders from Page and Luray jumping out to an early lead in the first mile. But then came the hills, and Panthers Bonnie Grimsley, Denice Eidson and Kathy Dodson dominated the pace and breezed past their Valley rivals to finish one, two, three in the standings.
