Anind*l NunmMH Staff Writer .JICIHMOND - San. Kevin G. Miller says he’s pleased with the progress he’s made so far during the General Assembly session.
He’ll admit that he and his fellow conservatives — Republicans and Democrats alike — have lost some majorbattles.
The voters will get a chance in November to decide if they want a state-run lottery. Sen. Miller opposes the concept of a lottery and the idea of putting it to referendum.
The General Assembly approved a bill that would require front-seat passengers in most vehicles to wear safety belts.
Sen. Miller doesn’t believe the state has a right to force people to wear seatbelts.
He also supported the pre-notification bill, which would have required doctors to inform parents that their daughter wants an abortion.
