First Colony Series champion Nelson Gunnell of Middleburg, who captured his First Colony title two years ago when he was a high school senior, says he is still learning the craft of race-riding.
“Give me another 10 years,” Mr. Gunnell said with a laugh, “then maybe I’ll be a jockey. I’ll probably never know everything I want to about racing. I’ve got the best teacher in the business, though, to help me.”
