Referring to Harold W. Rood's article of Feb. 12 on "Defending the defense budget,” I submit the following:
The Japanese have made and mounted no nuclear weapons, nor have they attempted to build an anti-nuclear defense system. Why? Certainly they haven't done the latter because they know that there is no audefufjpd thermonuclear weapons. If any people
incentive to plan qn«*nti-nudear defense, it would be the Japanese, the nation that has experienced significant nuclear destruction.
