Following the Longwood a hunter pace event will be held on the flat. Junior and senior foxhunters, as well as hilltoppers, may challenge the 2-mile course.

Rappahannock Hunt
On Saturday, March 7, the second meet of the season will be offered by the Rappahannock Hunt on Thornton Hill Farm near Sperry ville. Nine races and a hunter pair race are slated.
The day of racing warms up at 10:30 a.m. when members of recognized hunts compete in the hunter pair race. The race will be timed as pairs of horses and riders navigate a 2.'/>- to 3'/i>-mile course over natural hunting country.
