“Happy and I have done a lot of work together,” said Mr. Beasley, whose love and admiration for his mare is evident when he talks about her. “We hunt with Bull Run and Pohick and I whip off her for Jim Kincheloe (MFH of Pohick).”
Happy raced at Charles Town race course before Mr. Beasley bought her, but, according to Mr. Beasley, “she was a great show horse when she raced. She was always on her tippy toes and never did anything. She’s all business now, though, and she loves the competition of racing over timber.”
