team last year even though she couldn’t play,” said varsity coach Jared Nieters about Kritter. “It gave her a good head start.”
Following the Rappahannock volleyball season, Kritter joined a club team in Richmond and played until June of this year.
Now Kritter is where she wants to be as part of the Panther Varsity team. “I was really ready to go,” she said happily, “Most of it is just the sheer joy of being able to play.”
Nieters said that Kritter is an excellent athlete in every category. “She plays very intensely,” said Nieters proudly. “She has a competitive spirit that really carries well to the rest of the team.”
Kritter says she loves playing with the Panther team.
“We have a really great team this year,” she said. “We play really well with no animosity.”
The team is now at 16-1 and 5-1 in the district. Nieters believes that the girls have a chance at the state championship although they are still three games away from the Bull Run District Tournament.
