while Lee was being transported to the Rappahannock County Jail, he began kicking out the windows of the Sheriff’s Office cruiser. He was further restrained and was moved on to the Fauquier County Jail in Warrenton. ,
Lee faces charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and destruction of property. The original accident is still under investigation.
Rollover
On October 12, State Trooper Christopher Roop responded to a rollover accident that occurred at about 5 p.m. on U. S. highway 211, about 3 miles west of Amissville. James Siler, 19, drove off the the right hand side of the road with his 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. As he over corrected, Siler struck a guard rail, causing the vehicle to roll, landing in the median. Siler, who was wearing his seatbelt, was uninjured.
Cloniger
Motions Filed
Four motions were filed in the 20th district circuit court for defendant Ira Wayne Cloniger by Public Defender Bonnie H. Hoffman. Cloniger is charged with the murder, this past July, of Edward Fletcher, Jr., in the Gid Brown Hollow case. Among the motions filed on Cloniger’s behalf is a motion for release of court funds for expert assistance.
The motions will be presented to the court on Tuesday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m.
Cloniger remains behind bars in a regional jail in Winchester; he is slated for trial in January.
