Oct. 21: Wakefield Country Day
School Fall Festival and Yard Sale
The public is invited to Wakefield Country Day School’s Annual Fall Festival, which will take place Saturday, October 21, from 11 a .m. to 2 p. m. on the school grounds at 1059 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill. Wakefield classes and clubs will offer food and sponsor booths, games, and activities for all ages to raise money for various projects and field trips that will take place throughout the year. There will also be a yard sale for WCDS families. Bring your quarters, and prepare to spend several hours enjoying a beautiful fall day in the Shenandoah Valley, while at the same time giving to several good causes!
Oct. 21: Picking Party
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be having its Picking Party on Saturday, October 21, at the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department at 6 p.m. All bluegrass and country bands are welcome. There will be a 50/50 raffle. The Fire Department Auxiliaiy will be selling refreshments. -Come out and enjoy a great night of fun and food in an alcohol- and smoke-free environment. “Domestic Affairs” show
Gallery goers will have one last chance to view the witty collages and amusing sculpture of Judy Goodkind and Solveig Cox at The Packing Shed Gallery in Little Washington, Virginia, as the show celebrates its final weekend. An Artists Reception will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 3-5 p. m. where guests may enjoy hot cider and tour the galleries with the artists.

The International Gold Cup is pleased to announce its pre-race entertainment for the 69th running of the International Gold Cup on Saturday, October 21st. Festivities include SheHa C. Johnson performing the national anthem, the United States Navy Parachute Team, the “Leap Frogs,” and terrier races, making this one of the premiere outdoor fall events in the Washington metropolitan area.
General admission car passes are $65. A car pass admits one vehicle and six occupants.
