There was definitely a party going on.

October 14 has been officially named in Ray Cannon’s honor in Castleton as “The First Fire Chief.”

Cannon made minor history this past March when he produced his first CD - a story by Ray T. Cannon in his own voice retelling a hilarious story about Tom Hand’s Mule. Selling for $7.00 a copy, its sales have added to the coffers of the fire company.

Sporting his Tom Hand’s Mule cap, Cannon smiled over all the proceedings calmly and with dignity.

Like a sentinel, ever watchful.
