Anything else is a violation of Hindu laws of widowhood. “Water” tells the story of 9-year old Chuyia, whose husband dies before she even meets him. Her parents shave her head and whisk her away to live the rest of her life in a house of widows where the women sleep on the ground, beg in the streets and are shunned by society because they are widows.
