So you can see where I’m coming from. Time on my hands, I looked around at our house and thought, “This place looks shabby. Down at the heel. Dog-eared.”
“I know!” I announced to my wife. “I’ll paint the inside of the entire house!”
She humored me.
“Are you sure that you want to paint it all?” she asked.
“How hard could it be?” I said. “TO have it done before our son gets home!”
That was July. It’s now October, and I’ve finished the living room and the first coat in the ldtchen. Still to do are three bedrooms, a couple of halls, an office and three bathrooms. The^ task seems to have become &■* life sentence without parole.
You see, when you start to paint the inside of your house, you can’t painty awhile and quit when you feel like it. Your house will be a shambles if you do.
