The Rappahannock County Volunteer Fire and Rescue

held Oct. 17 at the Sperryville fire hall. The RCVFRA is recognized by the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors as the single combined voice of all county volunteer fire and rescue companies, particularly concerning funding issues.

The RCVFRA is an association of organizations, not individuals, with the county’s seven fire and rescue companies being members. It exists to help standardize firefighting, fire- prevention and rescue procedures among the companies; coordinate funding and budgeting efforts; and represent the interests of county firefighters and rescue personnel at the state level.
