Although the political pundits and armchair analysts are finding next Tuesday’s election a tough one to call in Rappahannock — uncontested races aside — there seems to be a feeling that the contested campaigns, which feature two write-in candidates for supervisor, will mean a large turnout of voters.
More than 700 representatives of local, state and federal government agencies and the private sector are expected to attend the 37th Virginia Transportation Conference at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, Nov. 16 and 17.
Wakefield Country School’s cross country team placed second in the Delaney Conference’s final meet of the year, losing by one point to the conference’s top-ranked Seaton School team.
The Extension service has announced that it will hold its 1987 Tn-State Commerical Small Fruits School on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center outside Front Royal.
