A lew inexpensive steps could make our road much safer, if safety was the real issue. A couple of well placed hidden drive signs and a few mirrors installed on blind curves combined with occasional widened areas to pull over when encountering larger vehicles would solve the safety concerns cheaply and effectively.
In the alternative widening and paving that the county intends all of the safety benefits will be more than offset by the increase in traffic and speeds. There have been a few accidents here in any case, (none in the last four years).
