continue to carry on and support 4-H activities in our community because these two gave us so much of themselves.
“Paul cherished the times he could work with young people at all levels. He particularly enjoyed his time spent at 4H Day Camp helping young 4Her’s build rockets.
“Paul believed in self discipline and building strong character, which anyone who worked with him knew. The young people at camp had fun, yet they learned life long skills in working together and being patient in taking small quality steps each day in order to create a rocket at the end of the week-on ready to launch.
“Just as those many rockets over the years had a successful ‘launch’ and return trip; so we all must continue to ‘launch’ ahead-work hard in 4H as a living tribute to Paul.
“I feel very strongly that if we love 4-H, we also loved Paul Nichols.”
Door prizes were given out during the program. Talk of the Town in Washington donated beautiful ceramic pins and cute finger puppets for the children. Sunset Hills Mum Farm donated a mum.
Prints by local artist, Geneva Welch, were given to each adult volunmteer leader for their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
