Alumni basketball tournament set
The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department will sponsor the ninth annual Alumni Basketball Tournament on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Any male or female who graduated from RCHS and is interested in playing in the tournament should contact Kelly Settle at 987-8575 by Monday, Nov. 17.
“We will need four male coaches and two female coaches as well as approximately 60 male players and 30 female players. When calling to register please give your graduation year and let us know if you are interested in being a coach,” said Mrs. Settle. Registration fees will be $10 per player and will include either a tank top or a t-shirt. Fees are due by Friday, Nov. 21. “This is always a fun event and a great way to show your support of the RCHS Athletic Department. We hope you will join us for a weekend of fun and excitement as “The Panthers of the Past” put on a great show,” concluded Mrs. Settle.
Mother's Coop, play group to meet
The Mother’s Coop and Children’s Play group will meet in the Parrish Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon through the winter season. All are welcome. For more information call Brenda VanNess at 987-9527.
Halloween party planned

Awards banquet planned
The Rappahannock Soccer League is having its annul awards banquet on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. Players, coaches, referees, volunteers and soccer families are welcome. Any food contributions are always appreciated, just see your coach for the form to let us know you are coming, and what you will bring. Support group to meet
The Blueridge Brain Iryury Support Group will meet Saturday, Nov. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. Darlene Payne from Brain Injury Services at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville will be the speaker. All survivors, family and friends are welcome to attend.
