Historical Society meeting set
Bob Johnson, a former Park Ranger and a native of Sperryville, will speak on the beginnings of the Shenandoah National Park at the Rappahannock Historical Society’s fall membership meeting on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library.
Parents urged to attend
The class for parents. Family Reading, at Rappahannock Elementary School extends an invitation to parents. The class meets every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This week the school’s principal, Raye Tupper will be a guest speaker at the cjass. She will discuss the new Standards of Learning and the new curriculum.
Upcoming topics in the following weeks are the Literacy Passport Tests and Reading Aloud to your child. A video will hie shown on the benefits of reading aloud to your child. Parents, we look forward to seeing you!
