There is an accepted policy within the organization that only the association will address the board of supervisors and that motions passed by tire association will be respected and honored by all member companies.
This policy does not preclude volunteers from exercising their rights as citizens and residents of the county. They may speak out publicly on any issue concerning them as long as they speak as individuals and not as representatives of their companies.
Woodward believes that this has worked very well, both for the companies and the county. “The board of supervisors has been supportive. We have come a long way in 20 years,” he said.
