Game Warden Irvin L. Kenyon Jr. said yesterday that trout are scheduled to be stocked in the Hughes River in Madison County and in Thornton River in Rappahannock County on Monday, Oct. 30.

H.S. Barksdale, chairman of the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, said today that recommendations from producers and the trade at recent feed grain meetings have provided the Department of Agriculture with a broad cross-section of opinion on the type of program desired for the 1968 crop.
“For being instrumental in developing and managing a point program of testing for the main battle tank-70 and for the heavy equipment transporter-70, that successfully met the criteria established by this country and the Federal Republic of Germany,” Lt. Colonel Robert W. Noce, Army Materiel Command (AMC), has been awarded the Legion of Merit.
