all girls winner with a time of 22:53. Laura Collins of Rappahannock made a good showing and took fifth.
The top four teams and the top 15 individual finishers, boys and girls, from the district meet qualify for regionals. Each school team may race up to seven athletes.
The Region B Cross Country Meet will be held in Charlottesville at Towe Park on Oct. 29.
Representing Rappahannock for the boys team at regionals will be: Thomas Baldwin, William Collins, Chad Heddleston, Adam Starks, Mark Williams, Robert Wilson and Matthew Wolfe. Alternates are: Colin Nichols, Daniel Ramey and Ronald White.
The Rappahannock girls team which will advance to regionals consists of: Caroline Baumgardner, Megan Fairbrother, Jessica Gheen, Lauren Sharp, Emily Sims, Anne Skoubo Kristensen and Beth Yowell. Alternates for the girls team ate: Sandra Oliver, Sara Opseth and Sara Thomas.
Local artist Maggie Rogers designed the T-shirts for the district championship and they were on sale at the event. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Athletic Boosters.
