The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will host a Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the fire hall. Kids can participate in the costume judging and refreshments will be provided. Call Sheila Scott at 9374357 for more information.

There will be an all-youcan-eat fried country ham dim*? ner on Saturday, Nov. 1, fronk 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jefferson ton Community Center. The dinner also includes gravy, biscuits, potatoes, green beans, home fried apples, and a dessert. Prices are $7.50 for adults, $3.95 for children, and $2.50 for a child’s hotdog dinner. Half of the proceeds will offset the cost of the center’s air conditioning and the other half will benefit the Little Fork Volunteer Fire Department. Your support is appreciated.
